The pollution caused by waste plastics in the major rivers and lakes in Beijing was investigated on the spot and their distinct influences on water environment, i. e. the harm to hydrophytes and aquatics, the effect on people' s production and lives was also discussed in detail. The theoretical distribution of phthalate esters (PAEs) in the air, water, suspended grain, sediment and biotic phases was obtained according to PAEs' physical chemistry properties, Lewis-Randall Fugacity Law, Raoult' s Law, sorbed theory and Freudlich isotherm. The degradation process and mechanism of PAEs were investigated from two aspects of both biotic degradation and abiotic degradation, thus the degradation kinetic equation of PAEs under different conditions in water environment was established. The mathematical model of the relation between plasticizer' s migratory quantity and material' s mechanical property was deduced on the basis of fit polynomial analysis, which is useful for estimating the content of plasticizer in water. Besides, the change of material' s thermal stability after the effusion of thermalstabilizer was investigated and the separation velocity equation of vinyl chloride from the matrix of PVC(polyvinylchloride) was set up. Finally, the environmental effects of vinyl chloride and PVC were discussed.
