With the technical support of fabric and dressing and computational graphics, this paper was aimed to realize simulation of real effects of dressing under specific lighting and texture considerations via 3-D human body modeling. The presented software simulated human body modeling and 3-D dressing so as to study dressing effects of different styles from multiple angles. The researches of human body modeling and 3-D dressing were generally regarded as essential steps for further study of hanging textile simulation, testing the impacts between body and clothes at moving motions and the theory of textile dynamical deforming. And it was also the premise of practical garment CAD.To re-construct 3-D human body, the related information about mannequin surface must be mined first. The common methods of obtaining mannequin surface information was briefly introduced. Because of the facility restrains, the data used in this paper referred to reports and papers of other researchers. In details, that was to read out vertex information of human body from a 3DS-formatted file that was extracted from the design model by the application of professional 3D human body modeling software. So, an explanation of related 3DS-formatted file was presented too.There were many methods for 3-D human body modeling purpose, such as line framing, curved face, solid and physical-based modeling methods, while a new triangular subdivision method was firstly applied in human body curved face modeling realization. Put simply, it required to implementing effective triangular subdivisions of mass data point on the human body model and reconstructing human body by the help of minor triangle chip approximation to curved faces. The key of applying this new method was the effective triangular subdivision of mass data point of human body model. In order to perform effective triangulation, the technology of tetrahedron-based triangulation of scattered dada was adopted. The precondition of applying this method is that the scattered data distributed on curved face without cavity and the surface of whole human body is a complex curved face.There will be more operation and more complex if the triangulation is applied in the whole body.In order to apply this method expediently,the whole body is divided many parts that every part's surface is convex curved face according to body morphological character.Then, chained up these functional by a list structure and applied the technology of tetrahedron-based triangulation of scattered dada, reconstruct human body model using minor algorithm triangles systematically to approximate to body curved faces.The simulation of dressing is the premise of 3-D garment CAD towards practical application. On the basis of human body modeling reconstruction, We used normal vector method for bias effects on vertex of human body model to generalize dress shaping point.
