The Synthesis Of Of Lightfastness Organic Pigments And And Exterior Latex Paint

In recent years, organic pigment has been wildly applied in the exterior building latex coatings in view of its vivid luster, strength tint, and wild chromatogram. But poor light stability and low mobility are two common drawbacks for most kinds of organic pigments. It is a difficult task to research a kind of pigment with good light stability, and this task needs to be finished immediately. On the base of references, we found that hindered amines as light stabilizer is applied wildly in polymer, which can trap the radicals that polymers generate during degradation, but can not absorb ultra-violate rays. This ensures that the desirable polymer properties can be maintained throughout the entire service life. After the work of our team, 4-hydroxylpiperidine is used to be exchanged with 3-subsituted or 4-subsitituted benzoate, and the intermediates are obtained in this paper. Some reaction conditions have been optimized by level experiments. Especially, the yield of the ester exchange is higher than before and the ratio can be up to 96%. The objective compounds are characterized by TLC, IR data and elemental analyses. The influence of the pigmentation in rosin is discussed and the perfect process is confirmed. The pigmentation can improve the thermal resistance, and sunlight resistance of the pigments. At the same time, the optimum prescription and auxiliary of paint paste is determined.On the base of the typical formulation of pure acrylic latex for building, the paper puts the emphasis on the discussion of the important factor which has an effect on the emulsion stability: the dosage of the emulsifier and hydrophilic monomer, and optimize the process conditions of the synthesis. A pure acrylic latex with high content is obtained. And its rheology properties, stability and infrared spectrum are tested.Using the emulsion as a base matter, we carried out a research on the application of the pigment in the exterior building latex coatings.
