Facing the trend of blast furnace's enlargement of the world, combined with the real operating process of our country's blast furnaces, based on systematic analysis on the mechanism of firebox of blast furnace, this paper simulate the ignition belt and raceway respectively for their different kinetic mechanism, detailed contents were introduced as follows::1. The developmental actuals and trends in the relative fields are summarized, the mechanism of firebox is expatiated. According to this paper, firebox includes both ignition belt and raceway. Because the airflow is laminar flow in the ignition belt while turbulent flow in the raceway. As the basics of building mathematic models, the kinetic mechanism of both ignition belt and raceway are discussed in detail.2. the process of gas flow and the transfer of heat and mass are analyzed respectively, a model simulating ignition belt is builded, together with detailed solve process and result discussion.3.In the raceway, the coal move whirly, combusting. Based on hydrodynamics and heat and mass transfer theory, this paper build a 3D mathematic model to simulate raceway. The calculated results are compared with PDA experiment.4.Using hydro-software to analyze practical engineering problem can avoid solve complicated equations and become more and more popular. This paper simulate the raceway by overseas hydro-software, the results are in good agreement with calculative value, the visual effect is greatly improved.5. In the end, all the contents included in the paper are systematicallysummarized, the foreground of this subject is also pointed.During the research and programming process, this paper not only pursued to keep up with our country's current operating conditions, but also looked forward to the future trend. During building models, this paper not only ensured each model's independence and cohesion, but also ensured the effect and exact data transferring. This system has such characters as credibility, easy- operating and expansibility, which were proved by experiments and provided foundation for the later development.
