Production of nanosize powders by electrical exploding wires (EEW) is a new method for producing nanosize powders. The method is concerned by many nation's researchers. This paper, firstly, introduces the principle of the method and international research results. In Russian and Japan the researches for production nanosize powders by EEW have been done for many years, many kinds of nanosize powders have been produced successfully and some laws of this method have been gained. Secondly, the paper includes the analyze methods for nanosize powders, including particle size's measurement, component and shape analysis. Moreover, this paper introduces the theory of pulse power generator, its configuration, electric characters and electric measurement equipments for high power pulse. The equipment for electrical exploding wires and the equipment for collecting powders have been designed. The current of exploding wire circuit has been calculated by Matlab program. The calculation results are confirmed in accord with the experiment result, in some sense. So it provides the reference for experiments. After X Ray Diffraction analysis and particle size's measurement, nanosize Al2O3 and TiO2 powders have been gained in experiments, the Al2O3 powders' average size is up to 64.9nm and TiO2 powders' average size is up to 28.1nm. After different conditions' experiments, some laws are concluded for production of nanosize metal oxide powders by EEW. 1) The gas pressure in the chamber affects the particle size. The pressure is lower, the particle size is smaller. 2) The particle size is proportional to the wire's diameter. The wire's diameter is smaller, the particle size is smaller. 3) At K=2, the particle size is smaller, at K=3 its size is bigger, comparatively. When K>3, K is bigger, the particle size is smaller.
