This article advances a new method through analyzing the braking system of the mine hoist and the available testing methods of parameters. This method can be used to test the parameters of braking system by means of turning off power, applying the brake, detecting the distance and the hodograph of run after it, and basing on the effect of applying the brake. The parameters can be tested and displayed by using the system consisting of PC and TMS320F240 DSP produced by TI company. At first, the article introduces the method to test the equivalent mass, the static moment of resistance, and the braking deceleration of the brake system and to examine the speed and the force of the hoisting system. According to the detecting method that the author put forwards, the parameters such as the brake torque, the time of idle motion, the brake distance and so on can be obtained. These parameters are tested and calculated by TMS320F240.Besides, the article analyzes the Quadrature Encoder Pulse (QEP) Circuit of Event Manager Module (EV), Serial Communications Interface (SCI) and I/O which are used to realize the above ideas, and gives the software flow of calculating the parameters of braking system.Meanwhile, it introduces the rotary encoder and its interface circuit to test the speed, LEM and its interface circuit to test the electric current, the communications interface circuit of DSP' s UART and PC' s RS232C, and so forth. The device can detect the system parameters of the hoist such as velocity diagram, force diagram, etc. Moreover when the hoist operates normally, it can alarm when it overspeeds at decelerating section. To display the parameters of braking system and hodograph ect on the screen through graph and digital, the subsystem DSP sends the data to PC which is Programmed by VB.
