There is a great deal of dispersed and concentration is 5~7 mg/m3 pitch fume has been generated in the carbon workshop of an alumina factory. If we don't take any disposal and discharge directly, the circumjacent environment will be polluted and bad effluence will be done to the workers. In this paper, the purification of low concentration pitch-fume has been studied. Using granule calcined-coke to adsorb pitch fume in this method and regenerate the granule calcined-coke through heating the saturated calcined-coke.In the paper, first the adsorption of calcined-coke has been studied. The effluence of the temperature, concentration of the original pitch fume, volume velocity and granularity of calcined-coke on the adsorption has been studied. The results showed that the amount of the mass of adsorption was increasing with the increase of the concentration of the original pitch fume. Lower volume velocity, lower temperature and smaller particle did better to the adsorption and purification of the pitch fume. Through the analysis on the adsorbent thermodynamics of the calcined-coke proved that the process of this adsorption is physical adsorption. Through the regression of adsorbent isotherm testified that the adsorption process can fit the Langmuir equation.About the asphalt-loaded calcined-coke's regeneration by heating, the effluence of the loaded gas velocity, calefaction temperature, the mass of saturated calcined-coke and generated time on the regeneration efficiency have been studied. The experiments showed that more loaded gas velocity, higher temperature and less saturated calcined-coke did well to the increase of the regeneration efficiency. Through condensate and absorb to led the recovery ratio of regeneration export gas to more than 97 percent. Which can conclude that the regeneration export gas can be recover better through condensation absorb.The technics flow of the pitch fume purification in the carbonworkshop of an alumina factory has been designed. The designations are about the three systems - gather, purification and regeneration and put the results of the designation into use. The industrial application showed that the purification efficiency of the pitch fume and Bap can reach 85.2% and 88.64% using this purification equipment to gather and purify the dispersed and inorganizated pitch fume. The concentration of thepitch fume and the Bap was 1.4mg/m and 0.0188μg/m and the mass of discharged were 0.04kg/h and 0.57×10~-6kg/h at the equipment export.The out let concentration can meet grade-II of integrated emission standard of air pollutants (GB 16297-1996).
