Steel plate cutting and welding are widely used in industries. How to increase cutting precision and efficiency has been one of the most popular research fields. High precision and efficiency can be gained through using CNC technique. We can use it to save material and power, decrease working procedure and increase working ability, so this study to research CNC cutting have great meaning in theory and practical application. We studied windows-based open CNC system key technique which can supply efficient and precise CNC system. The study includes several parts as below:(l)The research of open CNC system's structure, simply analysis of its specialty, and the meaning of using software CNC system.(2) The design and development of CNC cutting system's hardware. There are three types of hardware structure of CNC: special bus, general bus and industrial PC. The EPP-based hardware design of the CNC system is introduced.(3) The design and development of the CNC system's software: we developed windows based CNC software system, which can be used to set parameter, program manually, program automatically and imitate graph's cutting. We used thread to save time.(4) The design and development of the CNC program system: we supply program system with parameter for standard graph in graphs library. For unfamiliar nonstandard graph, we supply manual way or AUTOCAD based way.(5) We studied interpolation algorithm's selection principle. For the cutting of line and arc, we use digital integral interpolation algorithm ; For complex curve cutting, thestudy research and use basic spline interpolation algorithm. Direct interpolation for complex curve is useful to predigesting program's workout and program automatically.
