As a very important Chinese traditional medicine,Rhubarb has broad pharmacological action.Pharmacological researches have demonstrated that the active ingredients of Rhubarb--- anthraquinone components possess the action of anti-bacteria, anti-inflammation, anti-oxide components ion, lower blood pressure, lose weight, delay aging, etc. So the extraction of anthraquinone components from Rhubarb has become focus of research.As very important ingredient of Radix, anthraquinone components include rhein, emodin, aloe-emodin, chrysophanol and physcion. These components of extraction from Rhubarb were discussed systematically and successfully in this work, including technics optimizing and kinetics of separation method.The property and structure of anthraquinone was semblable, and the separation method were found difficultly. In the work, Anthraquinone components was extracted from Rhubarb in the mixture solution of H2SO4-CHCl3 in the experiment on the basis of previous studies at first. Then the chloroform extracts were extracted successively with aqueous 5%KHCO3, 5%Na2CO3, 0.25%KOH, 5%K0H solutions and HC1 solution, respectively. Moreover yellow precipitates of rhein, emodin, aloe-emodin, and chrysophaol-physcion mixture were obtained.The optimal technology condion was got through single factor method in the above hydrolyze process.That is 15%H2SO4:CH3Cl=1:5(150ml),three times extraction, each time was 2 hour,temperature:56℃.The chloroform extracts were extracted successively with aqueous 5%KHCO3, 5%Na2CO3, 0.25%KOH, 5%K0H solutions and HC1 solution, respectively. And then yellow precipitates of rhein, emodin, aloe-emodin, and chrysophaol-physcion mixture were obtained. By the way the chrysophaol-physcion mixture was separated through silica gel .This method operation were satisfactory through EA, 1HNMR , FTIR and elemental analysis identifying the above five anthraquinone components'structure.The extraction type was determined firstly through constant interfacial pool,then theextraction kinetics equation and apparent activation energy was requested through single liquid drop method. The result of studies was: The extraction type of rhein, emodin, aloe-emodin are all chemical reaction type.The studies were studied for the first time. Its meaning was profound and the industrial base was established.
