With the continuous development of economic level and building technology, more and more high-rise buildings have appeared in big and medium cities of China. Because high-rise building has several features, such as multi-floors, big-volume, crowed population, its fire dangerousness is much more serious than the ordinary building. And at present accidental fires appear rising tendency, it has become one of very important problems that country pays more attention to, and that social universally focus on, and that has urgent need to be solved. To carry out fire dangerous assessment for building is able to prevent and control efficiently building fire occurring. Based on the analysis and comment to the building fire assessment technique over the world, this paper discussed the possibility of the fuzzy synthetic assessment to the high-rise building fire hazard. Applying fuzzy mathematics theory, the author utilized the fuzzy synthetic assessment into high-rise building fire hazard assessment, and the example proved its scientificness and validity. This paper includes mainly:1. Aiming at the characteristics of the high-rise building fire, referencing the fireproof design standards of high-rise building, setting the fire site scene, and applying FTA and ETA, the author established the multiple-levels index system of high-rise building fire hazard assessment, and quantified the index.2. The author determined the relative weights of the index in a qualitative and quantitative way, that is Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), made the assignment of weights more scientific and reasonable, and symbolized better the important extant of factors to high-rise building fire hazard. In this course the author achieved a simple feasible method of adjusting the consistency of Analytical Hierarchy Process.3. The author discussed the possibility of the fuzzy synthetic assessment to the high-rise building fire hazard, and suggested that the fuzzy pattern recognition theory in which the broad sense distance of weights is minimum is used into the fuzzy synthetic assessment, and established the fuzzy synthetic assessment model based on fuzzy pattern recognition. This model can construct the optimum subordinate degree of fuzzy information in order to make assessment result more scientific and accurate.4. The author applied the synthetic assessment technique for the high-rise building fire hazard established in Shanxi Xinxi Daxia, and got the fire dangerous grade of this high-rise building. The example shows that this method has operatingness and effect, and can be popularized in fire hazard assessment for the general high-rise building.
