This paper mainly researches the theories of fiber feeding, condensation and yarn formation structure of DREF—Ⅲ friction spinning system. Basing on these deep researches, the experiment designs and creates a better new fiber feeding channel. The study shows that the new fiber feeding channel has a better property of fiber control, also it can improve fiber condensation state, yarn formation structure and yarn formation quality. This paper has four parts:1.It gives a brief introduction of the history, the production application fields and the prospects of friction spinning. Also it discusses the technological features, advantages, disadvantages and improving methods of friction spinning system. 2.It gives a deep study of fiber feeding process and condensation state of DREF—Ⅲ friction spinning, it gives a penetrating analysis of fiber movement characters and regulations of fiber feeding and condensation process According to these studies and analysis, the experiment designs a new fiber feeding channel which should has better fiber control properties and can improve fiber feeding and condensation state in theory.3.The experiment manufactures some strands of fibers with the new fiber feeding channel, cutting these strands into several parts which are the same length and testing each part's weigh to test the fiber distribution and dispersation. After comparing the properties' data of the new fiber feeding channel with those of the former one basing on theory. The experiment shows that the new fiber feeding channel that is designed in this experiment has a better fiber control than that of the former one, also the fiber condensation state improved after applying the new channel into the friction spinning system.4.The experiment spins two different tex friction yarn with the two fiber feeding channels, using trace fiber method to analyze the yarn fonnation structure of these yarns. It gives these yarn evenness and strength test, and then compares the yarn's evenness and strength data of the two channels. The experiment verifies thecorrectness of the theory analysis before, that the yam formation quality improved largely after comparing and analysis of yam formation structure and yam formation quality data from the two fiber feeding channels.
