Nano-sized zinc oxide particles were synthesized by wet-chemical techniques: general zinc oxid and acetic acid as reaction reagent, methanol as dispersed medium and water and potassium hydroxide as decomposition. The optimum technology conditions for manufacturing the nano-sized zinc oxide and its crystallization kinetic process were studied. The Nano-sized zinc oxide were characterized by FT-IR, TEM, XRD , DLS, UV-Vis . The results show that the zinc oxide synthesized with small particle size (8nm) and narrow distribution were obtained, the particle structure is crystalline hexagonal morphology. The influence of different types and concentrations of polymers which added to the prepared nano-sized zinc oxide was studied. The results indicate that the nano-sized zinc oxide which prepared by adding 10wt% PVP is monodisperse in ethanol and triethanolamine, there is no aggregation, and the dispersion is very uniformity. The nano-sized zinc oxide which prepared by adding 10wt% PM can dissolve in ethanol directly. UV-Vis and DLS were used to monitoring the increasing process of the nano-sized zinc oxide particle size. The increasing kinetic process is that the elementary particle size is minishing with the increasing of the temperature, the congregating time is delayed. When used the polymer to control the nano-sized particles, the congregating time is evidencly postphoned. When added the PVP 10wt%, the congregating time can prolong three times.
