As the fresh water resource reduce increasingly, and all over the world attach importance to environmental protection gradually, people give more and more notice to the development of the water treatment flocculant. Flocculants can increase solid/liquid separation efficiency, and have been applied to many industry regions. Cationic polymeric flocculants which can dissolve in water very well are a kind of efficacious medicaments, and have good application in water treatment, paper manufacture, smelt mineral and so on.Through the research of the synthesis technology of cationic flocculant, experiment designs a kind of liquor foam polymerization process of the cationic flocculant , and through this craft experiment compounds cationic organic polymeric flocculants which have nice water treatment ability. By the experimental study we can get the ways of this polymerization craft which is that we can construct water-solution foam polymeric system with the help of the foaming agent, using AM and DMDAAC as monomers, and that we choice the oxide-reductive agent and ultraviolet light as compound initiation system, and that we proceed vacuate pretreating for Pharmaceuticals, and superinduce additive to prevent cross link in drying process which also can improve product water-solubility.After defining polymerization processing condition, experiment continues to discuss the affection of experiment conditions to the product performance, such as monomer ratio, monomer concentration, the quantity of the initiator, the rate of accessory ingredient. So we can get the best synthesize condition of water-solution foam polymerization technology. The reaction temperature is about room temperature, pH value is around 78, monomer mole proportion (AM : DMDAAC) is 3 : 1, monomer concentration is 45% (wt) , initiator concentration is 0. 7%. (wt) , initiator mass ratio((NH4)2S2O8 : Na2SO3)is 1 : 1, the amount of carbamide is 2. 0% (wt) ,and the addition of the foaming agent is 2.0% (wt) . By measuring numerator parameter of the polymer, we know the polymer AM-DMDAAC with molecular weight 3.3088 million and cationic degree 26.37%, and realize the composition and structure of the products through the infrared spectrum.At last, the flocculability of product is evaluated in the laboratory, and we can get excellent products by this water-solution foam polymerization craft. It reaches even exceeds performance capability of the domestic extra products.
