Qaidam Basin Desertification For Analysis And Generation Mechanism Discussed

The desertification in Chaidamu Basin is the most serious in our country, and the ecological environment is quite vulnerable. With the process of the Western Development and the increasing population of the basin, the contradictions between construction and development, population and land, resources and development, resources development and environmental protection which has been in front of us, becoming more and more serious and focused in future. It has been seriously affected the economic development of the basin and Qinghai province, even the whole country's sustainable development of economy and security of the human's lives and possession. As a result, it is very useful, in both reality and theories, to study on the development of desertification in the region and the countermeasures to the problem.On the base of analyzing the natural geography, environmental geology, ecological environment and the harm of desertification, the essay lays importance on studying the causes of desertification, and then the mechanism of desertification at the preliminary level is discussed. The study result shows that the formation of desertification in Chaidamu is the result of natural and artificial reasons. As to natural reasons, the abnormal climate (dry), the effect of the basin, pour and evaporation, the effect of animal's destruction are taking into account, these factors are persistent, which are also the main impulse of development of desertification. As to artificial reasons, multiply primitive usage of resources such as the abuse of cultivation, ranch, firewood cutting, mine operation and water resources, which play an important role in inducing and accelerating desertification. Based on the analysis of causes of desertification, the develop process of desertification is studied, in the meanwhile, the mechanism of different desertification is discussed. All in all, the abnormal weather is the predominated factor, salt-contained loose accumulation provides rich material base to the formation of desertification, the raise of Qinghai-Tibet plateau is the basic element, the effort of wind and water is the indirect impulse of the development of desertification, the improper human's economic activities accelerate the development of desertification .At last, according to the characteristics of desertification, some countermeasures and antidotes to the problem is proposed on the basis of analyzing causes and mechanism on desertification.
