Abstract/Summary:
Using the advanced simulation software for chemical engineering, referring the interrelated technical information, analyzing large numbers of plant operating records, the article studies the two EDC purification sets (UNIT 300 and UNIT 1300) of Shanghai Chlor-Alkali Chemical Corparation (SCACC). The study aims at both the absorption of the foreign process technology and the accumulating experience from the industrial practice. By these studies, the arcticle sets up the process simulating models of UNIT 300 and UNIT 1300 separately.The research goes deep into the complex multi-components physical system about the EDC purification, finds out about 39 kinds azeotrope existing possibly, and obtains the proper physical and thermodynamics models. By the research, the author indicates that the content percentage of benzene and trichlorethylene is the key to the product EDC purity.In the article, the UNIT 300 and the UNIT 1300 's main equipments, including all towers and all heat eachangers, are all discussed. By the process simulation and the succedent equipment cheking, the author find out the operating bottleneck of the two sets and the upper limit of operating load.Especially to the UNIT 1300, the article focuses on the actual problem "Energy saving set doesn't save energy". By cheking the actual operating status, the author analyzes many reasons from variable views and provides several effective solutions, the SCACC brings these solutions into effect and get expecting results.Base on the studies above, the article discusses the problem of Reducing the steam consumption of 1,2-dichloroethane rectification processes in detail. The author contrastively analysizes the EDC's rectification processes, and brings forward a lot of new flow schemes using the Aspen Plus software, and compares their energy saving resultsThe author concludes that the dual effect variable pressure process flow is the most effective way to achieve the energy saving in EDC purification process. And he also puts forward the optimal choice as his new opinion.
