End-tooth indexing table is one kind of precise indexing equipment. It plays the important role in the field of the angle measurement for its high indexing accuracy, simple structure and so on. In this thesis, the reason for the high indexing accuracy of end-tooth indexing table is discussed. A new method that PLC control automatically end-tooth indexing table is reported. Then, 3 methods of angle fine division are analyzed.The main works of this thesis are as follow:1. The mathematical model of the abrasion of end tooth indexing table is established. The reason that the end tooth indexing table has high indexing accuracy in abrading and using progress is explained.2. Elastic deformation is an important influential factor of indexing accuracy and loading capacity of end-tooth indexing table with drum tooth. The elastic deformation of tooth form of end-tooth indexing table with drum tooth are analyzed by using Pro/MECHANIC, and the relationship between elastic deformation of drum tooth to pressure angle and diameter of tooth face is ascertained.3. A new method used for automatic end-tooth indexing table is proposed. In practical industry process, the control system is always nonlinear and time variant. Therefore the parameter of conventional PID controller cannot achieved easily. The paper carries on the study and presents a self-tuning fuzzy PID controller. Simulation result shows that this self-tuning fuzzy PID controller is better than the conventional one.4. Several methods of angle fine division, such as mechanical angle fine division, angle fine division based on internal reflection effect and laser interference, are described in detail. The result of comparison demonstrates that the device based on internal reflection effect has small size, simple structure and high accuracy and it can be used in the on-line production.
