Ionic liquids , also room temperature molten salts, is a kind of salts that entirelyconsist of cation and anion. Because of some unique properties, for example , thenonvolatile, the apyrous , the high boiling point, to be recyclable, the stability to heatand to other chemical substances and strong solvability.Since the synthesis method of ionic liquids is not mature at present, thisdissertation is mainly aimed to the synthesis methods and application of some kinds ofionic liquids. The following are the main content of this dissertation:1. Summarize the notion and properties and applications of ILs, synthesis methodsand applications of ILs in chemistry in recent years.2. Synthesize some methylimidazole MIM,EIM,PIM,BIM and ionic liquidsEMIM⁺Br^-,EEIM⁺Br^-,PEIM⁺Br^-and BEIM⁺Br^-from reaction of small molecules.3. Synthesize some ionic liquids MMIM⁺I^-,EEIM⁺Br^-,n-C₁₆H₃₃MIM⁺Br^-fromreaction of methylimidazole.4. Synthesize some ionic liquids MMIM⁺Cl^-,EEIM⁺Cl^-,PPIM⁺Cl^-,BBIM⁺Cl^-å'Œ(i-B)₂IM⁺Cl^-from reaction of small molecules.5. Synthesize a kind of ionic liquids C₁₆H₃₃Ph₃P⁺Br^-.6. Synthesize two pyridinium liquids ionic liquids [EPy]⁺Br^-and [C₁₆H₃₃Py]⁺Br^-from reaction of pyridine。7. Analyze and characterize all the synthesized ionic liquids by ¹H NMR and IR.8. Use these synthesized ILs as catalyst in synthesis of butyl acetate. Whenimidazolium is used as the catalyst of the reaction , the appropriate proportion ofacetic acid and 1-butanol is 1.4:1or 1:1.3;the appropriate dosage of catalyst is about2.5².7 %(mol) of all reaction regents, and the appropriate time of reaction is about90 minutes.
