At present, the high speed cigarette mouth building adhesive mainly is the polymer emulsion adhesive, or forming adhesive through simple mixing of the macromolecule to meet the industry needs. The main raw materials of cigarette adhesive are all petroleum chemical industry product, such as: PVA, VAC, VAE and so on, is affected by the petroleum price in a big degree, expensive and the security is low. And for the reason of the environmental protection request, in this experiment, we produce green environmental protection high speed cigarette mouth building adhesive, using corn starch the raw material, this material is widespread in our country, and its price is inexpensive. This experiment has the important practical significance.This paper begins from the corn starch, through the modification of its structure and performance, develops the high speed cigarette mouth building adhesive suits to the machine of PROTOS and the SUPER9 in cigarette factory. This paper research thoroughly from following aspects:(1) Research the producing technic and performance of oxidation corn starch. Inspected the oxidant type, the response condition and the performance of oxidized starch adhesive that produced. Then obtains the best preparation condition: NaCIO (5.0%), NaOH (2.0%), the oxidizing reaction temperature ( 45 °C), the borax (0.1%).(2) Stem grafting oxidation starch response research. Through the inspection of stem grafting corn starch performance influence of different response condition, obtains the best craft condition is: The reaction temperature is 30°C, the reaction time is 35min, the best starch pre- dextrinize temperature is 60°C.(3) Research the starch adhesive modification through emulsion polymerization. Through the inspection of cigarette mouth building adhesive's solid content and viscosity, confirming that the best response condition of emulsion polymerization step is: activator (0.3%), reaction temperature (85°C), acrylic acid (5%), emulsifier (5%).Each target of the green environmental protection high speed cigarette mouth building adhesive accords with the American SWIFT M5675 standard request target very well, othertargets conform to the GB 2794-81 requirement.
