Research And Development Of New Environmentally Friendly High-speed Cigarette Then Mouth Plastic

Cigarette industry develops rapidly. There is an increase in demand for high-speed cigarette adhesives for filter tipping. It is necessary to research and develop a new kind of adhesives to environment friendly, excellent performance and low cost.In this paper, the formulation design was discussed and the monomer property, adhesives property and monomer reactivity ratio mainly from the point of view of molecule were analyzed. A kind of vinyl acetate-butyl acrylate-acrylic acid emulsion was prepared by the process technology of copolymerization. Influences of monomers, composite emulsifier, protective colloid and initiator on the emulsion's properties were discussed. In addition, the result shows that other factors such as the quantity of pip emulsion, reaction temperature, dripting velocity and pH value can also influence the emulsion's properties. A systematic research on these factors was carried out and a primary formulation was obtained through a lot of experiments.On the foundation of result of experiment, production equipments and processes were designed and choosen. The adaptive alteration to the existing production equipments and try-production were carried out. Some methods dealing with some problems appearing in production process were offered. This kind of adhesives suited for high cigarette-making speed, even when the speed of cigarette machine is up to 5000～8000 count/min. It meets to the requirement of environment protection because the emulsion doesn't contain DBP and organic solvent. Performance examination and cost calculation indicate that this kind of cigarette adhesives with high performance can replace customary adhesives and it's scope of application and market prospect will be good.
