Sunflower Oil Preparation Of Conjugated Linoleic Acid Research

Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) are mixtures of several positional and geometric isomers of conjugated octadecadienoic(18:2) acid. The isomers of the CLA have various physiological activities , such as anticancer, antiatherosclerosis, reducing body fat, strengthening immune function, antidiabetic and accelerating growth. c9,t-11 CLA and t10,c12 CLA are thought the main active isomers.The physiological mechanism of CLA isomers is not very clear,but hygienical and clinical significance of CLA has been proved by many anmial tests.The sunflower grows in the northeast and northwest areas of our country.The sunflower oil has stable properties, and the content of linoleic acid is about 70%. Exploiture of sunflower is propitious to the economic development of east and west areas of our country, so sunflower oil is the good raw material of CLA. Following conclusions can be made from the study.1.The CLA was prepared by the alkali isomeration using KOH as catalyst and sunflower oil as raw material.The choice of solvent ,reaction temperature ,reaction time and the amount of KOH were studied innoxious PEG-400 as solvent can make the conjugate reaction accmoplished more easily under lower temperature and taking less time,moreover the content of CLA in the product is more relatively.This method is suitable for the exploiture and utilization of health care food...
