In this work, the magnetic nanoparticle drug carriers in magnetic drug delivery system (MDDS) were studied. CoZn ferrite nanoparticles were prepared with the method of solid-state reaction, moreover nanoscale MnZn ferrite powders and BaZn ferrite powders were synthesized by sol-combustion method. As the delivery in magnetically controlled targeted rabiotherapy, nano-composite (ferrite-TTHA) particles were obtained with triethylenete- traaminehexaacetic acid (TTHA) as surface modification by surface-modified technique. Magnetic nano-chitosan microspheres as the anti-cancer drug carriers were achieved by chemical crosslink method using ferrite nanoparticles and chitosan. The microstructure and properties were measured by FUR, XRD, TG-DSC, TEM, SEM and VSM. And the results of characterizing indicated that powders with small diameter, more symmetrical size distributing and stronger magnetization were prepared, the experiments also showed that the properties of ferrite-TTHA composite particles were better than ferrite nanoparticles in many aspects, and these composite particles had good chelating performance with common metal ions. The BSA-loaded nano-chitosan microspheres with good shape, narrow size distribution and good swelling ratio were synthesized using BSA as the model drug, the microspheres also had high drug loading and high entrapment efficiency. Dynamic dialysis method was used to determine the drug releasing characteristic of microspheres and magnetic microspheres in vitro, the release behavior indicated that the obtained microspheres with good releasing performance meet the requirements of clinic and can be used as a type of clinic drug carriers.
