To investigate the energy output characteristic of aluminized RDX and dynamics response of the vessel shell under explosion loading, experiments in the explosion vessel were carried out with a comparison of TNT and insensitive RDX. The main work and results are as follows:1. The investigation of energy output characteristic of composite explosive has been conducted, the result showed: even though the overpressure of insensitive RDX is higher than that of aluminized RDX, the impulse equivalency of insensitive RDX is less then that of aluminized RDX. It can be attributed to the after burning effect in the explosion process of aluminized explosive.2. The research of frequency characteristics in explosion vessel under explosion loading has been done. It is indicated that, the frequency composition in the flat end plate of explosion vessel is single, and the main frequency is 226Hz, 866Hz. The main frequency of axis modes and annulus modes is approximately identical ,and the main frequency is 1681 Hz å'Œ 800Hz .Breathing modes are mostly in the shell. When the charges are changed, they will associate with some bending modes.3. The investigation of the strain of explosion vessel under explosion loading effect has performed. The result showed that the strains at the three positions under TNT explosion loading effect has an evident accretion when the mass of explosive increases. The amplitude in the flat end plate is largest, in the axis take second place, in the annulus in the flat end plate the least. The largest strain always present to the focus of the flat end plate. Strain growth occurs in the shell, but not in the flat end plate.
