This paper focused on the research of application of peil CAN field bus in industrial control architecture. Fieldbus is the one of the hotspots in the field of automatization today. It is a kind of network that is applied to industrial field and used to realize serial , bilateral and multi-node communication between intelligential measure & control equipments. It has the characteristics of open, digitaland mufti-node communication. Nowadays, it is widely used in manufacturing, traffic, and intelligential building. Its advantage is the characteristic of open and interchange, simple frame, saving material and cost, decrease of maintenance.On the base of analysis and comparison with the influential fieldbus, A kind of field bus CAN bus which suits the application of practical project is chosen, then brief introduction of its characteristics is given. This paper discusses the composing its function modules, the work principle, the hardware frame, software design and the method of realization of each module. Besides the normal node design-CPU plus CAN controller mode, this paper also gives a new design that can realize all node function , and after brief introduction and analysis a CAN high layer protocol, the paper design a kind of high layer protocol on the grounds of practical application. This paper introduces an application of peil CAN field bus in the full-automatic digital wire terminal crimping machine. The result of this research also can be applied in different industrial control systems.
