In this thesis, two series of twelve novel compounds of ferrocenyl schiff bases derivativescontaining sulfur and oxygen were synthesized; All the new compounds were characterizedby elemental analysis, IR, ~1H NMR, The electrochemical properties and UV spectrum ofthese compounds were studied. Single crystals of 2c and 4b were obtained andcharacterized by X-ray structural determination. The main results obtained were asfollows:1. Synthesis of the compoundsSix ferrocenyl heterocyclic derivatives 2(a~c) and 3(a~c) were synthesized with ferrocenylphenylamine l(a~c) and thiophene-2-aldehyde, six ferroenyl schiff bases derivatives containing aether 4(a~c) and 5(a~c) were synthesized with ferrocenylphenylamine l(a~c) and l,4-Bis(2'-formylphenyl)-l,4-dioxabutane; single crystals of 2c and 4b were obtained and characterized by X-ray structural determination. All the new compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, ~1H NMR. |
