In recent years, Cucurbit[n]uril has been an important part of supermolecule domain . However, the poor solubility in common solvents has limited development of the chemistry of cucurbit[n]uril. Thus, synthesis of Q[n] derivatives that allow them to dissolve in common solvents, have received greatest attention to date.Synthesis of monosubstituted cucurbit[n]uril(n=5,7) , disubstituted cucurbit[n]uril(n=5,6,7), and tricyclohexylcucurbit[6]uril, have been achieved by using the diether of dicyclohexylglycoluril and glycoluril or the dimmer of glycoluril. The symmetrical dicyclohexylcucurbit[6]uril((CyH)2Q[6]) , dicyclohexylcucur[5]uril ((CyH)2Q[5]), cyclohexylcucurbit[6]uril ((CyH)Q[7]) , dicyclohexylcucurbit[7]uril ((CyH)2Q[7])have been determined by 1H NMR spectroscopy and ESMS. They all showed surprising water solubility, which allowed us to investigate the properties in neutral water. The pilot study of the properties have been commenced by 1H NMR spectroscopy . The results include: Firstly, (CyH)2Q[6] interact sodium(I) ion. In this self-assembled entity both the cavity interaction of (CyH)2Q[6] included a nitrate anion and the portal interaction of the dipole carbonyls of (CyH)2Q[6] with sodium cations lead to form self assembled molecular capsules. The crystal structure of the entity shows a packing of the self assembled molecular capsules connected by hydrogen bonds of water molecules. Secondly, (CyH)2Q[6] and (CyH)3Q[6] interact with guest 2,2'-bipyridine(bpy), the ratio of (CyH)2Q[6], (CyH)3Q[6] and guest bpy are all 1:1. (CyH)Q[7] and (CyH)2Q[7] interact with guest N-(1- amantadin)bromopyridine (adp), the ratio of them are also 1:1, Induced chemical shifts of guest encapsulated into (CyH)Q[7] and (CyH)2Q[7] noted.
