With the development of economic globalization, competition becomes more and more serious in enterprises, so all enterprises speed up upgrade and innovation of the products for their behalf. Therefore, they advance higher demands for periods and quality of the injection mold design and manufacture. Because mold design depends on the designers' experience and knowledge completely by the traditional CAD sofewares, so the efficiency and quality can't satisfy the demands of the mold development.Intelligence and automation is a great development direction of mold design. This project joins the expert system into mold design, and develops an intellingentized injection mold design system. The system bases on users' input information, reasons and analyses automatically for the interrelated knowledge, and selects relevant model from the model base, then rebuilds the molel by parameterized technology, finally finished the design process of injection mold automatically. The entire designing process is completed by the computer automatically without the calculation of the designer, which decreases the flaws caused by the lach of experience of the mold designer, helps to avoid mistakes and improves the efficiency and quality of the mold design.This article summarizes the design knowledge of the injection mold's flowing system and enjection system; and builds knowledge base suing the hybrid representation of frame representation and rule representation; realizes the hybrid reasoning of case based reasoning (CBR) and rule based reasoning (RBR) through deeply exploring reasoning and joining code technology into CBR to bulid case base; and also builds the gragh library of flowing system and enjection system using parameterized technology based on SolidWorks.This article also investigates the menu, interface, and design of the application software to make the system more user-friendly.
