As one high-efficiency means, the centrifugal free lapping is used extensively for finishing and burring of some small, abnormal parts. In fact, some key parameters of design and technology of the centrifugal free lapping are decided by experience completely so far, and it has no ultimate cognition to the essential characteristic in the course of polishing. The kinematic characteristics of the abrasive fluid and its influence on the grinding process have great significance to the optimization of key parameters of design and technology, so it is necessary to study them further. By experiment, it is complicated for the movement of abrasive flow. Characteristics of the abrasive fluid will be closely related to the quality and efficiency of workpieces in the centrifugal lapping, and the planetary driver ratio of the machine is an important parameter in changing the fluid characteristics. For the planetary driver ratio in the processing of centrifugal polishing machine will change the distribution of abrasive fluid , It is one of the key parameters for characteristics of the abrasive fluid.Taking the simulation between fixed particle and single grain abrasive, this paper has analyzed their different impaction on the course of grinding. It is theoretically pointed out that our study object is single grain abrasive. By further analyzing characteristics of the abrasive fluid, we find that it is closely related to the quality and efficiency of workpiece in the centrifugal lapping. We study the grinding hypostasis by numerical simulating, and primary do it to describe the modality of abrasive fluid including the distribution of abrasive volume fraction and velocity. These characteristics reflect the law in grinding course.High-speed photographing machine was employed to record the movement of abrasive flow in planetary abrasive flow processing in this paper, on the one hand, we can undstand the grinding law in centrifugal field, point out that the movement of the slippery layers and the change of frontal interface curve are key factors affecting production efficiency and product quality. For the fluid characteristics of the slippery layers can be changed obviously by altering planetary driver ratio, The product quality can be improved greatly by changing it. On the other hand, the experimental results validate our simulation. The good accordance between the numerical simulation and the experimental result points out that numerous technical experiments can be substituted by numerical simulation with computer. It provides a new method applying on the grinding course. Thesurface roughness and grinding ratio experiment explain the effection under different driver ratio quantificationally. At the same time, changing the inner shape of platens can alter the form of abrasive, consequently it can affect process effect.
