Sugar Granule Preparation Process And Quality Standards

Jiangtang granule which is made from Radix Astragali and Cortex Phellodendri Amurensis and other five kinds of herbs is a effective prescription in treating 2-type diabetes mellitus (2DM). The Preparation procedure and quality standards and stability of jiangtang granule were studied in this article.This prescription is from clinic and composed under the theory of Chinese medicine.In order to be taken by patients conveniently,we made a study on innovation of its formula by means of modern technique of medicine manufacturing. Orthogonal designing was used to select the optimum preparation process,and the extraction rates of astaragalos from Radix Astragali and berderine hydrochoride from Cortex Phellodendri Amurensis were adopted as indexes.As a result, the most proper extraction condition for Radix Astragali,Radix Paeoniae alba and other three kinds of herbs is using 9 times of water to decocte this herbs 3 times ,each time for 1 hours,and the best extract condition for Cortex Phellodendri Amurensis and Fructus Ligustri Lucidi is using 10 times of 70% alcohol decocte 3 times, each time for 1 hours.The selected process was experimentally manifested three times ,and the results showed that the selected process for Jiangtang granule repeated excellently. The result would be a technology parameters for production of Jiangtang granule.Spray drying technique and L₉(3⁴) orthogonal table was used to investigate the dry process concerning the effect of extracting solution's density (ρ),spraying velocity and inflow wind temperature with the moisture content of drug powder as a index.
