The thesis consists of the following four sections:Section 1: the historical process of gas chromatography is mentioned briefly, and the theory of dynamics and the thermodynamics on gas chromatography is described. Then, the fundamental structure of gas chromatography and the common stationary of gas chromatography is explained , at the same time, the preparation of the gas capillary column with traditional method is illustrated and the new viewpoint is raised.Section 2: the main content of the section is about the sol-gel chemistry. First the principle of the sol-gel chemical reaction is explained. Then the application of the sol-gel technology in spectrum analysis, electrochromatography, column, solid-phase microextraction, is introduced. At last, the sol-gel method for the preparation of the capillary column of gas chromatography is raised and the main influence factors are pointed out.Section 3: the PDMS-St-Ac-BA and PDMS-VAc-BA gas chromatography capillary column with sol-gel method is prepared. The separation power, the thermal stability, the column efficiency, the polarity of the stationary are compared with each other. Next the vinyltrimethoxysilane is instead of trimethoxysilane with the preparation of the PDMS capillary column, the PDMS capillary column boasts of its pleased separation power, especially to amines, phenolic compounds, and its life performance. Another kind of small molecule stationary , glycerine, is applied for preparing glycerine capillary column with sol-gel method, the temperatures at which glycerol capillary column can be used is enhanced greatly, and various compounds can be well-separated, such as alkanes, alcohols, amines, phenolic compounds, aromatic hydrocarbon.Section 4 : sol-gel capillary polydimethylsiloxanem column is applied for quantitative determination of ethanol in alcohol drinks and the pernicious compounds in adhesive, the experimental results shows that the sol-gel capillary column can completely separate varieties of compounds in the mixture though it is short. The analysis process costs short time for the short column but the result is accurate.
