The relation between Chemical Composition of stock oil for rolling electronic Aluminium foil and physical-chemical properties,tribological properties, functional properties were studied in this paper, on the basis of analyzing lubrication mechanism during the Aluminum rolling process.Several typical stock oils with low content of sulfur and aromatic hydrocarbon were selected in this experiment. Their chemical compositions were analysed using GC-MS technique. thermal stabilities and the thermal stabilities were analysed by TG-DTA technique.They were respectively mixed with three additives to confect rolling oils, and then the physical-chemical properties, tribological capabilities,anneal cleaning capabilities of the rolling oils were tested.The results show as below:(1) The viscosity of hydrotreating stock oils in Aluminum rolling increase with the increase of the average Carbon atomicity. In the conditions of the same carbon atomicity, the viscosity of the n-alkane stock oil is the lowest. It will increase when alkane and cyclanes added. The flash point of stock oils descend as the increase of the lower carbon atomicity which also have a big effect on distillation range.(2) The stock oil contained cyclanes is more sensitive to additives than that composed of n-alkane. As the increase of the average carbon atomicity, the film strength of hydrotreating stock oils and hydrotreating rolling oils rise. The tribological properties of rolling oils are mainly determined by additives, while the stock oils are also play an important role on the tribological properties when the additives are determined.(3) For stock oils used in rolling Aluminum ,the anneal cleaning capabilities of the hydrotreating stock oil could catch up with the n-alkane stock oil, the anneal cleaning capability of rolling oil is mostly decided by the additives. The thermal stability of the stock oil is mostly determined by the lower carbon atomicity content.When the distribution of carbon atomicity of the stock oils are the same, the thermal stability and oxidating stability of the n-alkane stock oil are the best, that of the cyclanes are the worse and the cyclanes are the worst.
