Preparation And Research Of New Nano-Sized Hydrophilic Aluminium Foil Materials

Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Southeast University, Nanjing, 210096 Abstract Aimed at the white power, water bridge and bad odor problems raised in the working process of air conditions, the surfaces of the aluminium fins were treated with hydrophilic coatings. Hydrophilic aluminium foil material is a new kind functional material, which can endue with excellent hydrophilicity, corrosion resistance, anti-water and so on.Epoxy resin has excellent anticorrosion, polish and good adhesion because of its own structure. So we consider to connect the epoxy molecule to hydrophilic material's molecule. On the basis of many foreign and domestic datums,we synthesized a new kind of hydrophilic materials through many experiments. First, waterborne modified-epoxy resin was synthesized through epoxy resin and polyoxyalkylene(PEG). It was found by experimental study that water-solubility modified epoxy resin can be obtained by the reaction of E-51 and PEG2000 with 2.5:1 molar ratio under 80℃, 0.03% BF3·CH3OCH3　as a catalyst. It can be obtained its apparent kinetic equation.　Second, waterborne modified-epoxy acrylates prepolymer with unsaturated double bonds was synthesized by esterifying reaction of modified epoxy resin and acrylic acid with equivalent molar ratio under 90℃, 0.7%KOH as a catalyst. The prepolymer has good water-solubility, transparent and blue-white emulsified light. It is a first-rate reaction to epoxy group and its reaction speed constant is 2.42*103(g·mol-1·h-1).At last, the best experimental prescription is achieved by optimization through solution polymerization. Waterborne polyurethane- epoxy acrylate resin-acrylate copolymer with a structure of interpenetrating network. was synthesized with the co-solvent of water and alcohol under 70℃,0.5%NH4S2O4 as an initiator.The solution was transferred into 10% translucent emulsion by adding water. Then coating it with a brush onto aluminium, it was cured in 30s under 230℃.This hydrophilic film has good polish, excellent initiatory hydrophilicity and maintenance hydrophilicity.
