Heavy metals contamination caused by mine exploitation has become a global environment concern. This problem is getting worse with the development of economy, and has been scarcely addressed. Mine water acts as essential media for heavy metals generation, mobilization and retention. Therefore, mining arsenic geochemical characteristics is a very important one of the topics.This study take field survey sampling and laboratory testing of a combination of methods. First of Xingren coal soil / sediment arsenic content in the distribution of research, then select high-arsenic content of the sample, analysis of high content of arsenic in the soil / sediment of the physical and chemical characteristics of the relationship. Finally discussed mines arsenic geochemical characteristics of migration and transformation. Some conclusions can be drew as follows:(1) Usually, the arsenic content of soil / sediment near the high arsenic coal more than the surrounding mines from the soil / sediment. The content of arsenic in sediment witch accepted the AMD was more than the surrounding soil arsenic content.(2) Mine areas, the soil surface / sediment arsenic content broader scope, As in soil /sediment of the content 20.68-219.14mg/kg (av. for 57.99mg/kg), 5.28-234.14 mg/kg (av. for 37.73mg/kg). High arsenic content distribution of soils and sediments in mine area were relation with the area of high arsenic geological and geochemical background, and also with the development of coal resources. Which soil contaminated with coal also caused by irrigation.(3) The concentration of arsenic in soil samples higher pH are concentrated between 4-6, high content of the samples arsenic content has a pH increase with the declining trend. Soil organic matter and total arsenic concentrations had some positive correlation. With the total P content of total arsenic increase showed first increase after declining trend.(4) Research surface soil / sediment arsenic in the form of the order with similar content, which is based on little more than the chronological order : O—As> Fe—As > Ca—As > Al—As > A—As.(5) A-As content of the soil pH is increased with the increasing trend; A-As organic matter and there is a positive correlation between; With the increase in the total P downward trend. Al—As, Fe—As content with the pH is increased trend. (6) The pH, organic matter of typical sediments follow the river top-down is to present up-trend, but Fe, total P, total As content lowers after then presenting to increase first after declining trend. The pH, total As of water is also present to increase first after declining trend.(7) The migration and transformation of As in sediment of studied areas present to increase first after declining trend after the arsenic release.
