Casting systems of non-ferrous metals are necessary equipments in metallurgy industry. They are multifarious, because of the difference of metallic physical property, geometrical dimension and arts and crafts of castings. Casting is a complicated course, not a single working procedure. So, the casting system of non-ferrous metals has not a uniform pattern.Now, lower automaticity, lower production efficiency and even manual manipulation are the character of mostly casting systems of non-ferrous metals. The casting system of non-ferrous metals which we design is provided with the character of higher automaticity, safety, trustiness and easy operation. In contrast to traditional casting systems of non-ferrous metals, it has lower manual manipulation and higher production efficiency. Our designing thinking has definite referenced value for the same casting systems of non-ferrous metals of spacious metallurgy industry.In my thesis, we firstly design the structure of the virtual model machine of the casting system of non-ferrous metals by the use of the virtual manufacturing technology.Now, the virtual manufacturing technology is a very popular designing means and it is already very perfect. The lifecycle of products will be reduced greatly by the use of the virtual manufacturing technology. Parameter designing thinking of the virtual manufacturing technology predigests the designing of products. Now, Pro/e, UG, Solid edge and Solid work are very excellent sculpting software of three dimensions. We design the virtual model machine by the use of the Solid edge v18 of UGS'company.Secondly, I analyze the mechanics capability of the primary structure of parts of the virtual model machine of the casting system of non-ferrous metals by the use of the finite element technology, it ensures the reliability of the product. At the same time, I optimize them; it reduces the consumption of material and weight of the equipment.In my thesis, I do finite element analysis (FEA) by the use of the MSC.Patran and MSC.Nastran. MSC.Patran is the best famous side-by-side frame class system which is used in the fore-and-aft disposal, analysis and simulation in industrial domain. MSC.Nastran is the best classic recognized equation solver in the international. The full combination of them is powerful guarantee for designing products. In my thesis, I do the statics analysis and thermodynamics analysis of the structure of parts of the virtual model machine by the use of them.The first, I do the statics analysis of the encloser of the moderate frequency furnace.The second, I do the thermodynamics analysis of the gallbladder of the moderate frequency furnace.The third, I do the thermic stress analysis of the gallbladder of the moderate frequency furnace.
