Although the current situation of security in our country becomes better and better, the safety problems still attract great concerns over the whole society when facing the bitter reality. In recent years, accidents caused by explosives and powders occur so often that the assessment of explosives and powders becomes an important task of concerns and discussions. The former quantificational assessment method on major hazardous resources of powders, explosives and their products in enterprises (BZA-1 method) is an effective one employed to assess the actual risk index of fire and explosion hazardous resources, but due to the condition before, there still exist some unperfected parts, which don't amended in time and resist the spread of BZA-1 method to some degree. BZA-1 method is scarce of consideration for danger extent of physical property of explosives and powders, and some basis data are not enough, besides of lacking of improvements of some methods , to make the result not narrow, exact, and general. For summing-up the working of the people who have done researches on this area and common methods which are used in China and other countries, we got the assessment method of actual risk index on fire and explosion hazardous resources of powders, explosives and their products (BZA-2 method) that is relatively scientific. It includes the standardized investigations of the computation of integrated sensitivity, the incontrollable quotiety of controllable risk index, potential index of personal and property damage and standardized investigations of danger classification. Further more, a mass of basic data are collected through experiments and literatures, and the basic format of the BZA-2 report is provided, which brings advantageous qualifications in the further spread of BZA-2 method.
