Presently, the exploitation of metal opencast mines is still one of high-risk industries in the mining in our country. Aim at the current Safe Actuality in metal opencast mines and the practical requirement of safety supervision and management, the State Administration of Work Safety implements the codes for Metallic and Nonmetallic Mine Safety Standardization in 2007 nationwide. According to the contents and related requirements of the codes, the main basic content of standardization establishment was hazard identification and risk management.The implement of risk management in metal opencast mines is an important measure to ensure safety in production, and to establish a series of complete risk management system is the fundamental guarantee of mine safety management. Based on the actual conditions in DaBaoshan Mental Mine in Guangdong Province, how to build risk management system in metal opencast mines is probed. The research contents and achievements were as follows:(1) On the basis of the Features of production process in metal opencast mines and Accident-causing Theory, the hazard in opencast working was scientifically defined and operation units were divided with the application of systems science method;(2)The hazard identification in open-pit mine was carried on the basis of communication on-site, Field research and analysis and consulting the corresponding resources.(3) Analytical hierarchy process (AHP) was used to carry out the risk assessment of the overall environment hazards in open pit, and Matlab software was used on the weight of the quantitative calculation, from which the the risk assessment result of the stope environment was made;(4)By using fuzzy in the risk assessment of the transportation system in open pit metal mines, the weights of evaluation factors for the working process was determined, and from which fuzzy comprehensive evaluation result of that was come out;(5)Combined with the actual situation in DaBaoshan,8 risk control measures was developed by means of the control of the technical, management and human behavior, and it was pointed that Inherent safety control and Accident Emergency control should be used in risk control.
