The Battery Electric Locomotive used in mine is the main conveyance of colliery in our country,as the development of new mine's design and the capacity of exploitation tend to large,the need of transport capability is enhanced. But as the transport capability increase,the braking system's capability isn't enhanced ,so bring about the locomotive couldn't satisfy the stipulate of mine safety rule. Consequently, for the sake of increasing transport capability of the locomotive, we should analyse and ameliorate the pneumatic braking system, which own its practice significance.This paper firstly analyses the technical parameters and the brake system of the mineral locomotive,then the mechanics of the wheel and the whole locomotive is analysed. At the same time,the adhesive state of wheel and rail is also analysed. At last,the model of the braking process is setup. In the base of that,set up the three-dimensional model of braking system in ADAMS/view,simulate and analyze the braking process in different conditions. Contrast the stimulant result and academic result, we can find that they are uniform. At the same time,we can find that emergent braking distance of the locomotive which is fully loaded and run in top speed preponderate over the claim of safe regulation.Finally, this paper analyses that low efficiency of the braking machine and long time of braking are the key reasons for too long emergent braking distance,in the base of the simulation and the analyse. This paper finally research the Countermeasure in order to shorten the emergent braking distance, including two important methods:(1) optimizing the main braking setup;(2) design a wireless remote control device to make swift response for the single of the curve or branch. Recur to the two methods,the emergent braking distance is shorten.Through the research of this thesis,it give a important reference to the design and test of the pneumatic braking system in the mineral battery electric locomotive, which own its practice significance.
