Emulsifiable concentrate (EC) is still one of the important pesticide formulations in China. Its output and dosage are more than other formulations. But there are some problems in pesticide EC which has toluene, xylene etc., such as environmental pollution, easy hazard, and so on. These problems have increasingly attracted people's attention. The paper studies on the Jatropha curcas L. biodiesel, and that of easy degradable, with high flash point and non-aromatic paraffin, it is introduced for the development of the triazophos EC, with the purpose of replacing toluene, xylene etc. by Jatropha curcas L. biodiesel in EC and reducing pollution. It also succeeded in developing new triazophos emulsifiable concentrate pesticides which Jatropha curcas L. biodiesel was as the solvent and the synergist. The various indexs reached relevant standards, such as the dispersivity of emulsion, the stability, pH and so on. The synergies ratio was 128.8 when Jatropha curcas L. biodiesel was used as synergist. The study has successfully explained that it was feasible to replace traditional organic solvents such as toluene, xylene etc. by Jatropha curcas L. biodiesel to improve EC. At the same time, the futher study have been done on process conditions of Jatropha curcas L. biodiesel production and the paper emphatically studies on the manufacturing process to prepare Jatropha curcas L. biodiesel. The catalyst X/Y/MgO/γ-Al2O3(I) with higher catalytic activity had been screened out, and its preparation conditions had been optimized and researched. The biodiesel was prepared through transesterification reaction with the catalyst (I) using Jatropha curcas L. seed oil, and had amplification of a pilot reactor. The best technological conditions of the pilot are as follows: amount of catalyst 1 wt.% of Jatropha curcas L. seed oil, the alcohol/oil molar ratio of 10:1, the reaction temperature of 63~68℃and the reaction time of 3 h.
