The temperature field of the die casting mold related to the movement of liquid metal state directly.It is a key factor to the quality of die castings.It not only affects casting inner and exterior quality,but also affects the dimensional precision and form accuracy.Die casting is required high quality,therefore it is extremely important to control the mold temperature field.This paper described the research progress and direction about numerical simulation study and its application of Die Casting dies temperature field,introduced the FEM model and its solution of numerical simulation of temperature field.And temperature distribution in the die casting process of die-casting dies,an sheet aluminous Die Casting,has been calculated and analyzed by FEM software ANSYS.Processing parameters of Die Casting and structures of the mould contributed to the temperature distribution of the dies directly.The author discussed quantitatively the effect of pouring temperature, pre-heat temperature,and structures of the casting contributed by comparison.In the production,the commonly used aluminum alloy material pouring temperature is between 600℃and 700℃.This paper discussed the different temperature distribution of dies when adopting different pouring temperature 650℃,670℃and 700℃.Research from the use of the mold cavity surface temperature for a time map and its heating rate,when the pouring temperature was 650℃,the highest average temperature of the cavity surface was 323.35℃,and the temperature rising rate was 8.4459℃/s between the time 0~10s after metal had full into cavity.And integrated Process consider all factors,the castings used 650℃pouring temperature compared with the production quality requirements.Practice has proved that pre-heating the dies would reduce the temperature gradient in the dies.This paper discussed the different temperature distribution of dies when adopting different pre-heating temperature 180℃,200℃and 240℃.The temperature gradient and the temperature rising rate of the cavity surface showed that it was more reasonable when the pre-heating temperature was 200℃.And the temperature rising rate was 7.0734℃/s between the time 0~5s after metal had full into cavity,the temperature gradient was 12.77℃/mm.This temperature field condition is beneficial to guarantee to dimensional precision and form accuracy of the Die Casting.
