Main factors for Karst rocky desertification can be concluded as the natural and social one, and further detailed as internal and external factors of lithological conditions, geomorphological type, underwater depth and intensity of human activities etc. To explore and do analysis on these factors is a basic work for rocky desertification research and an indispensable approach to rocky desertification control.Research subject in this paper is Songqi Town, Xixiu District, An'shun City, which was selected because of its specific location at watershed of two rivers in central area of Guizhou Province. There are series of impact factors of rocky desertification in this area and very obvious in their diversity and complexity, so that study on this subject can cover lots of aspects concerned by karst rocky desertification researchers.By finding out the forming ways of the factors for rocky desertification and doing research ontheir respective weight in rocky desertification, some factors such as lithological conditions, slope gradient have been considered as inner driving factors ones, while others like underwater depth as anti-driving which impedes the rocky desertification to a certain extent. Therefore, natural factor has been observed to be the internal factor, however, not the fatal one. On the other hand, kinds of human activities in social environmental effect, as interlacing of social and human factors, are actual crucial in the research on rocky desertification, on account of their heading influence on forming and further developing of rocky desertification. On the base of these conclusions, several pieces of advice have been intended in this paper as well.
