Mechanical press is extensively used in industry realm of car, aviation, electronics, appliance and so on, is main of the forging equipment. Car industry and precise die dominant the development of mechanical press, put forward request of its nominal working pressure,accuracy, operational reliability etc. The mechanical press usually appear a stronger vibration in the process of use and make the die's wear away to aggravate, the quality of products descend, even will cause the damage of key parts.The vibration of mechanical press is a kind of endanger and also can become a tool of equipment fault diagnosis. Because the mechanical press have heavy running parts, can't usually be dismantled to inspection, and always take blindness in timing maintenance and repair, formation problems such as excess and shortage repair etc. .This paper makes the GAODUAN company's J36-800E straight side double crank mechanical press as subject investigated, use method of vibration test and fault diagnosis, make fault analysis mainly in revolving parts such as shafts, gears, bearings etc. , through the field-test, the analysis of signal, to judgment the mechanical press whether existence defect or potential fault.This paper first introduced the foundation of vibration test and signal analysis, to research mechanical press and its related diagnosis technique, calculated its fault frequency, and to probe the reason of common fault characteristic of parts such as gears, shafts and bearings. Secondly, using the method of calculation modal, proceed the model analysis of mechanical press with its precise model building and finite element analysis, as the assistance part of vibration fault diagnosis. Then, on the job site to collect the vibration signal of mechanical press, use time domain, frequency-domain analysis and other methods to analyse and manage the signal early acquired, from various aspect to diagnose and check the fault and defect which the mechanical press possibly existence, put forward the relevant perfect suggestion. At the end, carry on preliminary research of the mechanical press' s antirvibration.
