Vanadium is a kind of metal element with various oxidation states, and is a necessary element for regulating cell metabolism in vivo. Oxime, which is a sort of Schiff base ligands, has strong coordination ability and biological activity. Most transition metal oxime complexes have bactericidal, insecticidal and detoxificating biological functions, so oxime is an ideal organic ligand. In this thesis, the oximes were chosen to be ligands, and a series of novel vanadium (IV) complexes had been composed. The crystal structure and coordination features of all the complexes were determined through X-ray single diffraction, spectroscopies, and electrochemical methods. The interaction of three compounds with Ct-DNA was investigated systematically. The whole paper is divided into five charpters, main contents of the paper are given as follow:1 Review. The basic physical and chemical properties and biological activity were briefly introduced. The advanced researches of oxime and oxime-metal complexes were systematically summarized.2 Chioce and synthesis of the ligands. Oxime is class of ligands with some biological activity and strong coordination ability, which has a wide range of reseach value in coordination chemistry and molecular magnetic materials. In this charpter, the synthesis of the vanadium complexes with oxime was introduced, and the development of them was shortly introduced. Simultaneously, synthesis methods of five complexes were given in detail.3 Synthesis and spectrum characterization of vanadium (IV) complexes. The vanadium (IV) compounds were obtained through routine methods, and the single crystals were cultivated by ether diffusing and free volatilization ways. Some of those complexes were featured by IR, Fluorescence, Cyclic voltammetry (CV) analysis.4 Analysis of crystal structures and DNA biological activity researches with the complexes. X-ray single crystal diffraction method was used for determining the five vanadium compounds, and their structural features were analysized. Their interactions with Ct-DNA were discussed through UV-vis absorption spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy and viscosity measurements.5 Conclusion and forecast. The main contents of this thesis were summarized, and some farecast was done for our future work.
