Mechanization, automatization manufacturing technology are widely used in automobile industry nowadays. Car body panel manufacturing is always one of the most important sector effects on development of new car model. The forming process of panel stamping includes problems of geometric nonlinearity, material nonlinearity and boundary conditions nonlinearity, a complex mechanical process of large elastic-plastic deformation. Cause car body panel surface is mostly complex, it is sometimes difficult for engineers to design the dies that meet the demand of the components designed only with empirical formula. Car body panel stamping simulation technology is specially important in aspects of improving design quality, shorten the car manufacturing circle, reduce the costs, enhance the competitive power. In this paper, finite element simulation(FES) is researched in car body panel stamping, exampled in A column forming and spring back analysis and finished the process design.Based on Autoform, this paper did simulation in each step of the component stamping process in order to analysis the kinds of the defects and give the solve scheme. On the traditional forming process platform, did the spring back research. Stamping velocity, friction coefficient, blank holder force are taken as the three factors to do the orthogonal experiments to choose the optimized parameter combination that control the spring back. Further more, compensation method is used in controlling the spring back. Finally, set the parameter to do the trial production by the optimized result.
