The mold enterprises have established a brand new working mode in order to meet the requirements of competition in the global markets, and the dispersive enterprises have to tend to towards cooperation and show their advantages of technologies, resources and experts respectively. The effective cooperation and communication have to be carried, in this way, the injection molds of high quality and low cost can be manufacted under the networked collaborative manufacturing system, so the market competitive abilities of enterprise cab be enhanced.In this paper, the characters of injection molds and the manufactories and the theories about internet-based collaborative design have been analyzed, the demands of internet-based collaborative development system of injection molds are analysed, the systems framework of internet-based collaborative design of injection molds are established with integrated structure of B/S and C/S. According to molds order form, the all molds producing processes are managed and monitored by the methods of the projects management. The real-time communications and the share of the datum in collaborative process are realized under the network environment using of netmeeting, email and board. With ActiveX technologies, the AutoVue is integrated into the web browser, then the results of mould design and the manufacturing technologies can be browsed and notated. The design and optimization of the injection molds are the key technologies of the networked collaborative manufacturing system, the processes of the melted flow and the field distribution of the plastics temperature are simulated in this paper, the warp deformation of the plastic can be forecasted, and the injection processes are optimized by the orthogonal experiments. The Moldflow software have been developped secondly with VB, that can predicts the shrinkage of key parts plastic under the optimize injection molding processes, and provides the help by the principle of reverse deformation compensation for injection mold design, the position and depth of the sink mark are forecasted with man-machine interaction.At last the networked collaborative manufacturing system are verified.
