Working fluid plays an important role in ensuring the accuracy of processing, improving the surface quality and production efficiency. Therefore, working fluid should have the following performances: antirust, insulation, fast deionization, cleaning, cooling.Oleic acid soap and borate ester were synthesised from oleic acid, triethanolamine, boric acid, polyethylene glycol-400, and so on. O/W and W/O types of working fluid were prepared with 20#oil, water, emulsifiers and other additives.The optimal conditions of oleic acid soap were designed based on orthogonal experiments as follows: temperature 90℃, oleic acid 20g, sodium hydroxide 1.0g, triethanolamine 4.5mL; The optimal conditions of borate ester were: triethanolamine 5g, boric acid 2g, polyethylene glycol-400 20g, oleic acid 10g. The results show that oleic acid soap and borate ester have better antirust, lubrication performance and low surface tension.O/W-working fluid was prepared with oleic acid soap and borate ester as additives, emulsified with 20# oil, water, emulsifiers and other additives. The value of HLB, the type and amount of emulsifier, the influence of additives on the stability of working fluid were discussed. The optimal conditions were designed as follows: temperature 45℃, water 4.5g, 20# oil 1.5g, the main emulsifier 5g. Oleic acid soap can significantly improve the anti-rust performance, and borate ester can improve the lubricay. The working fluid has better surfactant, antirust performance, medium conductivity and low-foam.W/O-working fluid was prepared with 20# oil, water, emulsifiers, oleic acid soap and borate ester. The influence of temperature, emulsifier, 20# oil, water and oleic acid soap on the working fluid were discussed. The optimal conditions were designed as follows: temperature 30℃, 20# oil 6g, water 1.4g, oleic acid soap 1.9g. The working fluid has better surfactant, antirust performance, medium conductivity and low-foam.Both working liquid had satisfied effect. The dilution of O/W-working liquid had high visibility, but more emulsifier and foam and higher cost; The dilution of W/O-working liquid had poor visibility, but smaller emulsifier, less foam and lower cost.
