In this paper,in order to improve the were-resistanee of 45# steel,laser cladding of WC/12Co metal-ceramic powder was investigated.The laser cladding parameters in the conditions of single pass and multichannel overlapping laser cladding were optimized.The microstructure,hardness,wear, etc.of laser cladding specimens were studied by using SEM,TEM,EDS XRD,microhardness tester and wear tester.The results showed that by using the optimized laser cladding parameters ,the cladding layer without of pores and cracks can be obtained ,and an excellent bonding between the cladding layer and the substrate was gotten with a strong metallurgical interface.The wear-resistance of laser cladding layer and flame spraying coating was improved by 10.5 and 4.0 times respectively.The reason is that compareding with flame spraying coating,the microstructure of laser cladding layer was in good quality .
