The mobile rig can reduce the cost of drilling dramatically because of its good capacity on package, mobilization and operational. In recent years, the mobile rig fabrications have been one of the main force of Chinese petroleum mechanical industry as well as the key products of import.The article regard the design of 120 ton mobile rig as the design model and make an analysis base on the status and feature of abroad and domestic mobile rig. Author point that the development emphasis of Chinese domestic on mobile rig design still on the imitation and parts selection, few investigation was carried out on the design theory and match principal. At present china domestic manufacture factory still adopt the physical(real) model frication method to verify their design , they will find mend the design error in the course of fabricating. For the mobile rig products, the method have a considering negative on the mobile rig' quality improvement, cost reduction and market possession ratio as well the custom operation capacity.Mobile rig module design, 3-dim model creation and finite element investigation, drawworks control method study, steering technology for carrier are finish in this article. By these items study, software of mobile rig design and whole rig 3-dim model and double brake system for drawwroks as well as double steering power are achieved. All these achievement can be used in the design of all type of mobile rig designThe mobile rigs apply all these achievements serve for the Shengli, Zhongyuan, Daqing, Kirghizia and Iraq. The site operation indicates that the rig is good on mobilization and convenient on move between well sites. This mobile rig is a perfect equipment because its abundant horsepower and tough main parts and stability performance as well as convenient control system.
