Tire vulcanization is the most important part of the tire forming,the vulcanization effect directly affects the final mechanical properties and dimensional accuracy of the tire.Direct pressure vulcanization technology is the use of metal inner mold instead of bladder and through the way of electric heating to provide the temperature environment needed for vulcanization.Focusing on the direct pressure vulcanization technology,the thermal design analysis and optimization of the metal inner drum were carried out in this paper.The main work and research results are as follows:(1)A metal drum heating module is designed.The heat transfer characteristics and heating methods of the heating module are analyzed.The application of electromagnetic induction heating on the metal inner die has certain limitations,and pure resistance heating is more suitable.The finite element model of metal drum was established by COMSOL,and the influence of different heating layout on the surface temperature field of drum tile was studied.The results show that the heating plate-heating rod layout has better heating efficiency and uniformity.The influence of heating unit power with different ratio on temperature uniformity is studied,and the optimum power ratio is obtained for the layout.(2)Manufacture sulfide metal inner die mechanism,design experiments to measure the surface temperature of the drum tile under the heating module.By analyzing the temperaturetime curve,the corresponding axial temperature difference and circumferential temperature difference are calculated,and compared with the simulation results to verify the accuracy of the finite element simulation.In addition,the causes of surface temperature difference of drum tile and its advantages over capsule vulcanization process were analyzed.(3)The structure of the heating module is optimized,and the heating device coupled with heat pipe and heating plate is designed.Through simulation analysis and comparison,the device has an excellent effect on temperature uniformity,and it can be used more widely through the method of unitization;The structure with heat insulation board is designed.Through simulation analysis and comparison,the structure can effectively improve the heating efficiency of metal drum and reduce the temperature of non-tile elements.(4)The control circuit and working circuit of the metal drum control system are designed,and the control framework and control logic are analyzed.The heat transfer equation of the control system is calculated and the transfer function of the control system is deduced.And based on the transfer function,the control system is adjusted and optimized by PID.MATLAB Simulink module is used to simulate the control process before and after the optimization,and it is concluded that the control system after PID optimization has less overshoot and steady error.
