Flatness accuracy plate strip is one of the important indicators of quality. Flatness control system (Automatic Flatness Control System, or AFC system) is a system in the mill itself an integral part. However, as the complexity of the process rolling, the AFC system control parameters remain uncertain. It is difficult to build an exact mathematic model. Intelligent technology is an effect way to solve the problem.First in this paper, the basic knowledge of flatness was introduced. In the aluminum sheet production process the main reasons of the flatness defects have been studied. On this basis, the adjustment way of the shape deviation and several AFC systems working principle were analyzed.Secondly, in the roll bending control system design process grading control ideas was proposed. If symmetrical shape is in larger deviations, through using a rough fuzzy controller and the control system can have a fast response speed. If symmetrical shape is in small deviations, through using a fine fuzzy controller, the control system can be stable. The factory site application results use of grading control system was analyzed.Finally in local shape control strategy design process, with the absence of system variables based on the characteristics of a priori model structure, at the same time it is difficult to build system variables between models. Therefore, it had adopted adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference systems, completion of the object model. Through production test data collected at the scene, adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system can be able to better complete control tasks.
