This paper makes a preliminary discussion on technical and economic evaluation to sewage treatment process, illustrates an idea on the technical and economic evaluation of sewage treatment process, describes the significance of its research and the current situation, and maintains political basis and evaluation principles in the technical evaluation process. When the classification of technical and economic evaluation is to be done in the sewage treatment process, the author puts forwards three means of classification, including evaluation to different process objects, to different purposes, and to techno-economic evaluation of sewage treatment process, and carries out each type of evaluation object, the characteristics of technology and the necessity for evaluation.The technical and economic evaluation of wastewater treatment process is a very important step in urban wastewater treatment system, the comparison and decisions in different Treatment Schemes need the step of technical and economic evaluation to carry on refinement and comparison,so as to get optimization decision. Carry out the technical and economic evaluationin of wastewater treatment process behind project implementation in the meantime can raise the scientific level of item decision,and have important function to the improvement of investment performance, this is also an essential method of satisfy economy growth and sustainable development.Aiming at the complexity of water treatment process evaluation as well as the difficulty in measuring technology and economy, three methods of techno-economic evaluation for sewage treatment process has been proposed to discuss: single-factor evaluation, and multi-objective fuzzy optimization model evaluation.Focused on the practice of single-factor evaluation and multi-factor weighting evaluation on 80 sewage treatment plants in representative cities nationwide, the sewage treatment process of 14 technical and economic factors have been evaluated, covering current eight kinds of sewage treatment processes more often used. The multi-objective fuzzy optimization model evaluation, in this paper, has been considered, to greatly extent, the quantification of the effect, building a sewage treatment process that can reflect the multi-level index system, which first applies fuzzy optimization model to the technical and economic evaluation of the sewage treatment process in the research.
