Mould industry is the basic industry of national economy and recognized as the international key industry. Mould forming has lots of advantages, such as high efficiency, good quality, saving primary materials and low product cost, it has become an important technology method of current industrial production that manufacturing product parts using mould. Recently, the mould design capacity has been improved to a great extent by bring in finite element simulation method. This method is significant to shorten cycle, decrease trial time and reduce product cost. In this paper, the state and development of simulation of metal sheet press forming processes are summarized, and some key problems which have been apply in practical. The thin wall parts with complicated shape of one military enterprise are studied, the wrinkle phenomena always go with the pull and stretch forming process.A whole suit of stamping die is designed to solve the wrinkle phenomena, according to the part' structural character and die design theory. The three dimensional model of sheet, male die, female die and platen are created using CATIA software; the pull and stretch forming and spring back process of thin wall parts are studied by numerical simulation method using ANSYS/LS-DYNA software. The equivalent stress field, equivalent strain field and the change of sheet length of pull and stretch forming process are obtained by simulating the pull and stretch forming and spring back process of thin wall parts. The forming result, force and energy of different frictional coefficient and forming speed are analyzed contrastively. The spring back results of different material and forming speed are also studied.Analog results demonstrate that the mould structure of this paper solves the wrinkle phenomena of thin wall parts perfectly, at the same time, the results also represent the position and size of spring back by simulating the spring back process after pull and stretch forming In this way, it can be made up before when producing mould practically, so it come into question.
